Two police officers have been killed following a shooting in Paris

The incident happened this evening.

UPDATE: Two police officers have been killed in a shooting in Paris.

According to Sky, the officers were attacked on the Champs-Elysee and the person who fired on them has also been killed.

An witness speaking to Reuters said a man got out of a car and began shooting “with a kalashnikov.”

Authorities are warning people to stay away from the area, it’s believed there were two people involved in the attack and one person could still be at large.

A spokesman for the French Interior Ministry said that it’s too early to identify a motive for the attack.
