The Crown Prosecution Service have said that they will appeal against the decision to throw out the terror case against Kneecap's, Mo Chara.
Mo Chara, whose real name is Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, was charged with the alleged display of a flag in support of proscribed terror group Hezbollah at a concert last November, however the case against him was dismissed due to an error.
The chief magistrate, Paul Goldspring, told Woolwich Crown Court that the charge brought against Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh was 'unlawful' and that he had no jurisdiction to try the case.
A Crown Prosecution Service spokesperson said: "We are appealing the decision to dismiss this case as we believe there is an important point of law which needs to be clarified."
