RTÉ's very simple and important explainer on Brexit and the border is going viral
Some British MPs could do with watching this.
A child can understand it, Boris Johnson can't.
While that might be over simplistic, the latest Brexit plan that was presented by the former Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs has yet again demonstrated a clear misunderstanding of the Irish backstop and the single market.
Granted, the Brexit negotiations are incredibly complex as Britain prepares to leave the E.U. but after watching news2day's perfect explainer, you could argue that some kids now have a better understanding of Brexit than some MPs.
A few days ago, broadcaster Paul Cunningham presented the following piece and since being aired, the footage has been shared by some very notable figures like Professor Brian Cox and James O'Brien - host of JOE's Unfiltered podcast and broadcaster on LBC - in an effort to educate the masses.
As O'Brien states: "Children’s TV in Ireland providing a Brexit explainer that effortlessly exposes the basic ignorance underpinning almost every interview conducted with the likes of Rees Mogg, Davis & Johnson."
The kids are alright.
For those in Westminster that remain ignorant and uninformed, here's hoping that the message can finally sink in.
If you don’t understand why the Brexit negotiations are difficult (I get quite a few correspondents on twitter saying ‘Why can’t we just leave? .... WTO ... or something) then this piece from a children’s TV show in Ireland is very clear - even IDS might understand it! https://t.co/cs8bDIq4xX

(It’s incredibly simple but, in fairness, probably a bit too complicated for Dorries) https://t.co/AZfW42JEiO
