Expect some hold ups.

commuter delays

Take note.

Commuters are staring down the barrel of serious delays this morning following a crash in Dublin city centre.

Motorists are being warned that the Swords Road is closed both ways at Griffith Avenue. The road is very important for commuters in and out of the city and is normally very busy at rush hour.

AA Roadwatch have said that diversions are in place for outbound traffic via Home Farm Rd, while inbound traffic is being diverted by turning right at Griffith Ave. Inbound traffic is slow on approach from the Port Tunnel.

Traffic is currently very heavy on the northside of the city following the incident.

The road will be closed for the next few hours while forensic collision investigations are carried out on the scene.
