No Threat To Life From The Slievenamon Fire

There is no threat to life or property. Our main priority is to push the fire lines back and prevent them from crossing the firebreaks. I wouldn't expect it to get worse, as long as we can fend it off from the forestry.

As RTÉ reported, crews expect the wildfire to persist until significant rainfall arrives, with only light showers and a slight pick-up in wind forecast over the coming days.
