The coffee shop chain is adding to its 21,000 franchises worldwide.

Starbuck’s is set to open its first official outlet in Cork City with a premises at 39 Princes Street, close to the English Market.

The Irish Examiner reports that the company is looking to open a number of shops in the People’s Republic, although they have denied there are plans to open up in the One Albert Quay building currently under construction.

The chain first opened in Dublin in the Dundrum Town Centre in 2005 and has since cropped up across the capital, spelling names incorrectly and sparking memes across the land for people to enjoy with their hot beverages.
