Temperatures continue to soar as tomorrow set to be the “hottest day of the week”

Temperatures could reach highs of 27 degrees in parts of the country with the warm weather set to last well into next week.

Temperatures in Ireland are set to continue to soar as tomorrow will be the "hottest day of the week" so far, according to Met Éireann. The weather has seen a drastic change after weeks of rain this week, with temperatures reaching nearly 25 degrees in parts of the country on Tuesday. The settled weather is set to continue through the weekend and well into next week, with plenty of warm spells of sunshine on the cards. Today will see another dry day with good spells of sunshine developing after early morning mist and fog clears. Meanwhile, Thursday will be the warmest day of the week so far with maximum temperatures of 21 to 27 degrees. Friday will be dry and mostly sunny yet again with highs of 19 to 23 degrees. Conditions will continue dry and mostly sunny on Saturday also, with temperatures once again reaching highs of between 20 to 23 degrees. Sunday will be another dry day with some sunny spells and highs of 17 to 23 degrees. The mainly dry and settled spell of weather will continue with plenty of sunny spells well into next week. However, temperatures are likely to decrease slightly to around average, with daily maximums of 18 to 21 degrees.
