Shane Long will pose a significant obstacle to the Swedes in their attempt to snatch an away win at the Aviva tonight and it’s not just us that think it, the Street Fighter lads do too.
Long will start up front alongside Robbie Keane later this evening in what is a hugely important game for both sides in terms of qualification for the World Cup in Brazil next year.
While Zlatan is undoubtedly Sweden’s biggest threat, Long will be considered one of our danger men by the opposition, something one Irish fan illustrated to Long himself on Twitter by referencing a line from a game that anyone out of their teens should remember well from their youth.
If Long is in the mood it will go a long way towards a positive result for the Boys in Green this evening, but if Richard Dunne fancies taking Zlatan out of it with an old fashioned Hadouken that mightn’t be any harm either.
