The early weather forecast for Christmas Day is in…

Carl Kinsella

As a child, there was no moment in the year more magical than running downstairs to open the presents beneath the tree only to notice that the snow had start coming down outside like a Christmas miracle.

Unfortunately, preliminary weather reports suggest that Ireland isn’t going to see any snow on Christmas day this year.

In fact, a tweet from BBC’s Barra Best today seems to suggest that there won’t be any precipitation over Ireland at all on December 25.

The tweet from Barra doesn’t rule it out though:”Still early doors but no snow in the current forecast for Christmas Day. Things may could change before then. Stay tuned.”

So keep your eyes on the skies and hopefully we might have white Christmas after all.
