Next week’s All-Ireland football final has to be the most eagerly anticipated showdown of recent years. Yes, Dublin’s first appearance in a generation last year was big to those in the capital who care but you get a sense with Mayo and Donegal this year that every single person from the competing counties is thinking of nothing but Sunday’s clash.
We have seen the memes and heard the songs but now the people of Ballyhaunis have taken things up a level by getting arguably the world’s most famous singer to don the Mayo colours. Well, a cardboard cut-out of her anyway.

We would like to think this is the weirdest All-Ireland related pic we will see this week but we know that things will get much odder as the week went on. We expect there is somebody in Donegal already pulling a green and gold shirt onto on a cardboard Jay-Z as we speak.
