The Paralympics have been a joyous occasion, and the crowd’s booing of UK Chancellor George Osborne last night was pretty enjoyable too.

The Paralympics has really lived up to its billing as the superhuman Games. Every day brings more amazing feats and more Irish gold and the whole spectacle has been a joy to watch.

We didn’t think we would hear any booing in the Olympic Stadium but we didn’t reckon on someone picking UK Chancellor George Osborne to dish out some medals.

As the man responsible for cuts across the water, especially to sport and health services, he was ‘welcomed’ to the stadium in the same way that Sepp Blatter was a few weeks before.
