VIDEO: Mick Wallace broke down in the Dáil when talking about the migration crisis

A deeply emotional speech.

Amid the mental health protests outside of Dáil Éireann on Thursday, Independents 4 Change TD Mick Wallace was inside discussing the migration crisis in what turned out to be a very passionate contribution.

As reported by RTÉ, Wallace paused a number of times, before composing himself, when telling the story of meeting a 15-year-old migrant who is seeking refuge in Ireland or the UK, after losing all of his family, including his parents and siblings, on the Afghan/Iran border.

Sharing a similarly devastating tale from Calais, the Wexford TD has called for the Irish government to take action and to invite more migrants from areas like Calais into the country, before adding: “Somebody from the government should go out to Calais to see what is happening.”
