Picture this: you're having a lovely relaxing day fishing. Everything is going well and then suddenly, you've a hook stuck in your hand. You can't simply take the hook out, because it's in the shape of a U. So what do you do? You call your brother who insists the correct way to remove a fishing hook is to push it through so that you can snip the barb off.
