Watch the powerful moment a survivor of the Florida shooting took down an NRA-funded politician

Rudi Kinsella

Truly powerful stuff.

Last week saw America’s 18th school shooting of the year.

17 people lost their lives that day, and since then, the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas have been extremely vocal in their attempt to make some sort of change when it comes to gun laws in America.

A number of students of the high school have implored those with power to get rid of the ridiculous amount of guns that are in circulation, so as to increase student safety in America. Of all of the pleas for increased regulations, none have been quite as powerful than that of Cameron Kaskey, a student who survived the tragic shooting that took place last week.

While talking to Senator to Florida and Republican Party member Marco Rubio, Kaskey asked him a simple question that brought a standing ovation from the audience that was in attendance.

Take a look for yourself here…

Kaskey asked Rubio not to accept a single donation from the NRA, and the crowd erupted. The student himself looked close to tears, as Rubio danced around the question, before inevitably saying that he would never turn away a donation from someone who agrees with his agenda.

It wasn’t just the crowd in attendance that were impressed by Kaskey, and in reply to criticism of the student’s question, Nick Offerman, the actor who plays Ron Swanson on the hit show Parks and Rec weighed in on Twitter, in typical Ron Swanson fashion. Amazing stuff.

The cast of Parks and Rec also told the NRA where to go and you can check it out by clicking here.
