Wayne Rooney threatens legal action against The Mirror in furious Facebook post

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has taken to Facebook to let The Mirror know that he doesn’t appreciate their accusations that he took Nike products from a display cabinet in a Wembley VIP corporate box.

The article in The Mirror, which featured CCTV footage of Rooney handling various Nike products, claimed that Rooney “helped himself to a goodies haul”, something that has been steadfastly denied by Nike, the FA and Rooney himself.
