It never rains but it… yada, yada, yada.

Met Éireann issued a weather warning on Friday affecting 26 counties which expired on Saturday morning, but not before ruining the view of the spectacular blood moon on Friday night.

Now, the Met Office has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Derry and Tyrone.

The warning is valid from Saturday morning and will remain active until 7pm on Saturday evening.

The Met Office has warned that very heavy rain is expected during this time and that flooding of some homes and businesses will be possible.

They’ve urged people to allow more time for their journeys and warned that public transport journeys will likely take longer due to the weather conditions.

Spray and flooding on roads will potentially increase journey times for motorists.
