Weekend weather looks surprisingly decent

Weekend weather

We’ll take it.

The last few weeks haven’t been the best, weather-wise. We’ve even slipped back into “weather warning” territory — seeing gale force winds and flash-flooding across the country.

But fortunately, it looks like the coming Saturday and Sunday are going to be decent enough.

According to Met Éireann’s latest weather forecast, “Saturday will again be mainly dry and bright day, although some mist or drizzle will still affect some parts. Highs of 11 to 13 degrees in southeast winds.”

Frankly, we’ll take a bit of mist or drizzle affecting some parts if we’re getting a mainly dry and bright day.

As for Sunday, we can expect “A bright and fresh day with good spells of sunshine. Highs of 9 to 11 degrees in fresh southeasterly winds; much cooler along the Leinster and south-Munster coast with the onshore wind. Cold overnight with lows of 2 to 5 degrees, grass frost in places.”

We can’t see the word “rain” anywhere in there, and sometimes, that’s all that actually matters.

Even Monday doesn’t sound too bad: “Dry and bright but continuing to get colder. Highs of 8 to 10 degrees.” In November, dry and bright really is the most you can ask for.
