One lucky Lotto player is a life-changing €4,642,646 richer after the draw that took place on Wednesday night (29 January).
Becoming the first Lotto jacket winner of 2025, The National Lottery has now confirmed that the winning ticket was sold in Louth.
More specifically, the ticket was purchased at the Centra on Platin Road in Drogheda on Saturday (25 January).
The winning numbers from the Wednesday night Lotto draw were: 5, 12, 14, 27, 34, 42 and the bonus was 25.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winner has contacted its claims team and that arrangements are being made for Ireland’s newest millionaire to collect their prize.
The owner of the Centra store on Platin Road that sold the winning ticket, William Daly, said in a statement:
The news comes hot on the heels of Tuesday night’s EuroMillions Plus win, where another Louth player snagged the top prize of €500,000.
Emma Monaghan, spokesperson for the National Lottery, said: “What a week it’s been for Co. Louth! Not one, but TWO top prizes sold in the county this week.
"In total, over 63,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, including our first Lotto jackpot winner of the year.
"We are beyond thrilled and can’t wait to see the joy this brings to our jackpot winner!”
