He truly has a way with words.

US President Donald Trump posted a video to Twitter to thank the brave men and women who helped out during the horrible conditions of Storm Florence.

Trump showed genuine gratitude and thanks to those who risked their own safety during such a treacherous period, but he also managed to mess it up a tiny bit.

He described Storm Florence as “one of the wettest we’ve ever seen from the standpoint of water”.

Yep. One of the wettest, from the standpoint of water.

In fairness to the man, he’s not technically wrong, but it’s just such a silly thing to say.

A silly thing to say from the standpoint of words.

Trump went on to thank a number of people, including coast guards, FEMA, law enforcement, and many more.

He also urged people to be safe, as water levels are still rising in certain areas, saying: “Listen to your state and local authorities. Be patient. Be alert. And God bless you.”

That’s a lot better…
