After taking the iTunes Podcast charts by storm last week, the Hard Yards crew are back with some chatter about the Heineken Cup, Tomás O’Leary’s cake and… the Corminator.

Wondering what the hell ‘The Corminator’ from Tallafornia has to do with rugby? So were we but the Hard Yards crew found themselves discussing the Tallaght thespian in detail thanks to some obscure Fergus McFadden reference. Talking about obscure, how does Tomás O’Leary baking a cake on the motorway sound?

It was that sort of week for Jerry Flannery and Malcolm O’Kelly, who we’re hoping will still be able to participate in future podcasts after a very slight and very unintentional racist reference during the broadcast.

The lads did find time to talk about the weekend’s Heineken Cup rugby, the Irish squad for the November Internationals and fondly (read ‘barely’ for Jerry) remembered their first Irish caps, with host Alan Metcalfe and Conor Heneghan also joining in the fun at various stages.

Finally, Jerry and Malcolm gave some good, some not so good and some shocking predictions last weekend via the Heineken Star predictor on the Heineken website and thankfully for the lads and for the bank accounts of those who backed their predictions, they won’t be offering up any pearls of wisdom until the next round of Heineken Cup games in early December.
