Yesterday’s racing selection Blue Moon just about got up to win and returned at a handsome price of 10/1.

We may not get those sort of odds on today’s pick, TREACLE TART, in the 2.50 at Lingfield but he’ll be in with a big shout nonetheless.

Robert Winston takes the ride on this progressive type and he might have a somewhat exposable handicap mark.

Have a slice of Treacle Tart at around 4/1.

Don’t write tonight’s Champions League clash between Manchester United and Valencia as a non-event. United will desperately want to top Group C.

Alex Ferguson is expected to use all the firepower he retains at Old Trafford tonight as their next game against Arsenal in the Premier League is six days away.

Valencia generally don’t travel that well and we can’t see them taking the points tonight. They need a win to top the group.

Dimitar Berbatov should be one of the first names on the team sheet after rekindling his form. It’s 23/10 for Berbatov to score at any time and Man United to win.

JOE’s Daily Double: Treacle Tart (Lingfield, 2.50 @4/1) and Man United to win and Berbatov to score at anytime @ 23/10.
