Mullins saddles four today at Thurles and it wouldn’t be a surprise if at least three of them won.

After yesterday’s near misses, with White Star Line and Chellah both finishing second at decent prices, we could go one better today.

In the first I think APT APPROACH has the beating of the short-priced favourite Catch Me.

Mullins’ best chance of the day should come on well from the run at Cheltenham earlier in the month, while Catch Me had a tough race last time out.

In the 2.05 QUARRYFIELD LASS looks the best out of the dozen runners. Homer Scott, leading trainer many years ago, sends this old mare to the track today and she’s a consistent sort.

Back in handicap company she looks the one to do the business.

JOE’s Daily Double: Apt Approach (12.35, Thurles @ 11/4) and Quarryfield Lass (2.05, Thurles @ 12/1)

Prices available from Boylesports at 11am.
