The inclement weather is not pleasing for racing followers, yet you can rely on Tony McCoy to have a successful day at Folkestone this afternoon.

McCoy’s best chance of the day is undoubtedly on board Paul Nicholls’ AMERICAN TRILOGY.

Usually partnered by Ruby Walsh, expect McCoy to be gung-ho about winning on this fella.

The six-runner field for this beginners chase is lesser company than what he’s used to but this is his first time over fences, so nothing is taken for granted.

At a price – and at top weight – the ex-Noel Meade runner WHATABOUTYA has every chance of scoring in the 3.10 handicap chase.

The nine-year-old is now in Jonjo O’Neill’s stable and McCoy’s retainer for JP McManus means he rides this one.

He’s had four wins and another eight places in 25 outings over jumps and he’s due to turn in a good performance.
