The plot thickens.
Fight fans have been privy to a very public tug-of-war between Conor McGregor and the UFC executives because as we all know, the main reason why McGregor pulled out of his rematch (according to his open letter) against Nate Diaz at UFC 200 was his refusal to do publicity and promotional events.
McGregor has stated that he wants to focus solely on his work in the gym because there are other “dancing monkeys” that the company can use to promote the event.
As things stand, ‘The Notorious’ is definitely not on the card but UFC broadcaster Joe Rogan is still open to the idea of getting McGregor back on the billing.
Here’s a tweet that was sent to him along with his very definitive answer.
@joerogan Do you feel like these last few days have generated more media attention than any press conference ever could have? #UFC200 #Even
