Martin O’Neill Out Of Hospital And In Good Form

Martin O’Neill is out of hospital and in “good form” after undergoing a small procedure, his Celtic assistant Shaun Maloney has revealed. The Parkhead club announced on Wednesday that the 74-year-old Northern Irishman had gone under the knife, and Maloney offered an upbeat update ahead of Sunday’s Premiership clash with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

What Shaun Maloney said about Martin O’Neill

Maloney said he had visited the manager on Thursday night and found him much improved, though it is not yet certain whether O’Neill will be in the dugout at the weekend. The 74-year-old was not at training on Friday as he continued to recover.

I went to see him last night. He got out of hospital yesterday. He was in good form last night, loads better than he was Monday, Tuesday. Hopefully those sort of positive feelings continue. No timeline. So even for the game at the weekend, it’s sort of day-to-day.
