Rugby fans of Ireland, the time is nearly upon us.

Joe Schmidt has opted to make just the one change to the side that trounced Italy last weekend and it is an expected one, with Peter O’Mahony returning from injury to take his place alongside Chris Henry and Jamie Heaslip in the back row and Iain Henderson dropping to the bench.

Ian Madigan comes in for Paddy Jackson in an interesting change on the bench and apart from that it’s as you were as Ireland look to secure a long-awaited second Six Nations title and give our greatest ever player the most fitting send-off at all.

We can’t wait.

Ireland team to play France: Rob Kearney; Dave Kearney, Brian O’Driscoll, Gordon D’Arcy, Andrew Trimble; Jonathan Sexton, Conor Murray; Cian Healy, Rory Best, Mike Ross; Devin Toner, Paul O’Connell (captain); Peter O’Mahony, Chris Henry, Jamie Heaslip.

Replacements: Sean Cronin, Jack McGrath, Marty Moore, Iain Henderson, Jordi Murphy, Eoin Reddan, Ian Madigan, Fergus McFadden.
