In fairness to Edilson, the pitch did let him down here. The commentary is great though.
Last night Vasco and Botafogo played out a 2-2 draw at the Maracana Stadium and the game produced one of the worst corners we’ve ever seen.
Taken by Edilson, the ball flies into the crowd, going out of play almost immediately after he kicked it. The commentator is clearly disgusted with the effort but we will cut the player some slack, as the pitch is in terrible condition, with almost all the turf at the corner dislodged when Edilson tried to cross the ball.

Considering this is where the World Cup final will be held in about nine months, we hope the turf improves.
