Have you recovered from those scenes yet?

One of the most-discussed parts of the wild carry-on that followed Conor McGregor’s defeat to Khabib at the weekend include the accusation that the Irish fighter was jumped in the ring by Khabib’s crew.

While there is debate over whether or not McGregor threw the first punch, there is no denying that the Crumlin man was hit from behind by the Chechen-Russian UFC fighter Zubaira Tukhugov.

Tukhugov has since been bragging about the incident on social media, confirming that he was the one who slapped McGregor after the fight… and proving he’s certainly not ashamed of the fact.

According to MMA journalist Karim Zidan, Tukhugov said: “I slapped him as promised. I promised to make him answer for his words and I did.” Zidan also shared a video of Tukhugov talking about the incident.

Tukhugov had been scheduled to fight McGregor’s friend and teammate Artem Lobov at an upcoming UFC event, but Dana White has confirmed that the fight will not go ahead after Tukhugov’s actions at UFC 229.

There was plenty of bad blood between McGregor and Khabib’s team prior to the fight. Back in April, McGregor destroyed a bus that Khabib and his teammates were on, and has since delivered insults about Khabib’s religion, father and nationality.
