UPDATE: Surprise, surprise… The 14-year-old girl in question was recently arrested by Dutch police.
Earlier today we brought you the news of one young teen who thought it would be funny to tweet an alleged terror threat to one of America’s largest airline carriers, which you can read more about below.
American Airlines, the airline carrier in question, told the 14-year-old girl that they take these kinds of things seriously and that they would be forwarding the girl’s IP address and details to the FBI. It looks like they weren’t kidding…

Original Story: One 14-year-old Twitter user recently learned a very important lesson about sending fake terror threats to one of America’s largest airlines.
Early on Sunday morning, American Airlines received a very strange tweet from an account that allegedly belonged to a 14-year-old girl named Sarah. The strange tweet in question read as follows:
It’s not exactly the kind of tweet that you’d expect to see someone sending to a major airline and it didn’t go down too well with the folk over at American Airlines who were quick to respond:
Sarah then ‘freaked out’ and sent a string of apology tweets to the airline:
Sarah also tweeted out saying she wasn’t going to be telling her parents about the whole ‘terror threat’ incident:
Unsurprisingly, the @QueenDemetriax_ Twitter account has since been deleted.
