Now there’s a mirror that takes your selfie for you

No more using your own hands like a big eejit

No more using your own hands like a big eejit

If there’s one first world problem that we think they should have already solved by now, it’s the fact that we still have to take our own selfies, using our own two hands. Where are the robots designed to fly around on jet packs and take selfies from our most flattering angles? It’s 2014 for Pete’s sake.

Anyway, while there are still no robots (thanks science, pfft) we do have the magical selfie mirror from iStrategy Labs, who have had a bunch of nerdlingers slaving away to find a way for beautiful people to look at themselves and force people who follow them on social networks to look at them too.

The mirror is called the S.E.L.F.I.E. or “The Self Enhancing Live Feed Image Engine”, and it’s made from a two-way mirror with a Mac mini hidden behind it that snaps a picture with the facial recognition software that it’s powering, and there are some LED lights that act as a countdown timer so you can pull your best duck face.

The photo then is uploaded to your social media profiles (with a logo, if you have one) and then the whole world can see your selfie. Because that’s what we need, of course.
