Could your plug in headphones be a thing of the past?

One of the biggest changes with the new iPhone 7 was the decision to abandon the headphone jack in favour of wireless AirPods.

Although the iPhone does have an adapter to allow you to plug in your traditional headphones.

But now it looks like HTC will be following Apple’s lead in this decision according to a new report from Business Insider.

Noted phone leaker Evan Bliss has released a photo of a new device which he revealed will be HTC’s newest release called the HTC Bolt.

While it is admittedly difficult to see, it looks as if they only connection on the bottom or top of the phone is a USB-C port.

This would suggest that HTC are following Apple in the new era of smartphone technology… making us all go and buy new headphones.

Motorola had already omitted the headphone jack from their Moto Z phone earlier this year.

It looks like Bluetooth headphones are the future…
