This looks terrifyingly good…

JOE has a huge amount of love for the Resident Evil games, especially since we spent an insane amount of time playing the classic Resident Evil 2 on the Playstation. The trailer for the franchise’s latest instalment, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, has been released and we’re delighted to see the return of heroine Claire Redfield.

The story follows Claire and her daughter Moira after they are knocked unconscious and taken to a mysterious detention centre located on an island. They soon encounter demented, writhing enemies called Afflicted (we’re going to call them zombies though) roaming the halls of the abandoned facility and the duo have to team up to survive.

The real question is, who brought them here? And… why?

This trailer is just a frightening taste of what gamers can expect in this upcoming four-episode series. Capcom have announced that each episode will sell for $6 each, or the full season can be purchased for $25, so Irish gamers can expect the price to be fairly decent also.

The retail disc version of Revelations 2 will include “further gameplay content” on top of the additional content included in the complete season.

The game will be available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.
