Andre Villas-Boas has been sacked as manager of Tottenham Hotspur

Following yesterday's five nil defeat to Liverpool at White Hart Lane, Tottenham Hostpur have this morning confirmed that they have sacked manager Andre Villas-Boas.

Before being appointed manager of Spurs in July 2012, AVB spent eight months as manager of Academica, one year as manager of Porto, and nine months as manager of Chelsea. His time at the Lane was rumoured to have been coming to an end, however, after his new-look Spurs team suffered heavy defeats at the hands of Manchester City, West ham United and Liverpool in the past month alone.
