This is one hell of a sports picture...
Half the fun of going to a baseball game is the chance that you might get to catch a ball. Okay, chances are slim and you are much more likely to drink too much/eat too much/get a bit bored but hey, it’s still a great thing to do if you visit the US.
The attendees at a Boston Red Sox/Baltimore Orioles game in Fenway Park last week were lucky/unlucky enough to have a foul ball fly their way and a Boston Globe photographer called Jim Davis captured a most incredible shot of the reaction.
Some are scrambling for the ball, others are terrified of the ball and a few seem to be doing both at the same time. The pic is almost a study in the various contortions the human face can pull. It’s top class.
