While over in Dublin on a book signing, Celtic boss Neil Lennon made time for seriously ill eight-year-old Hayden McLafferty from Clondalkin.
As one of the best supported clubs on this island, we’re not surprised that Neil Lennon received a warm reception in Dublin yesterday. The Celtic boss was in town to sign copies of his book A Champion's Story in the Celtic shop in Jervis Street Shopping Centre.
And according to today’s Irish Independent, Lennon made plenty of time for one fan who came to see him. Hayden McLafferty from Dublin has a serious heart condition and spends most of his time in either Temple Street Children's Hospital or a hospice in Harold’s Cross.
But the chance to meet one of his heroes was important so he went to meet Lennon with his little brother Riley, aged five.
Lennon spent some time with Hayden chatting about Celtic and Lennon’s playing career, and this picture of the meeting shows the pair shaking hands.

The paper quotes Lennon about his Dublin trip: "We have huge support here – it really pleases me how faithful they are," he said. "Everyone has an affinity and the atmosphere is just really amazing."
We reckon he has picked up quite a few more on this visit too.
