The 2013 Google Zeitgeist lists for Ireland are finally out and it looks like Irish people have a strange obsession with Twerking, Miley Cyrus and… Phil Hogan?
According to the Google Zeitgeist list the top trending search for 2013 only occurred fairly recently, as the Fast & Furious star Paul Walker, who lost his life in a car crash on November 30, was the top trending search in Ireland for the year. Following Paul Walker in the top trending searches are ‘Ryanair.ie’ and ‘Cory Monteith’, the former Glee star who also lost his life back in July of this year.
On a slightly more upbeat note (albeit just as depressing for some people) the top trending ‘What is…?’ in Ireland for 2013 was ‘What is twerking?’, while Miley Cyrus topped the charts for the top trending artist in Ireland.
