Ireland take on World and European Champions Spain in Yankee Stadium tomorrow night, and Trap has named his starting line-up

The most interesting selection has been Conor Sammon leaping up the pecking order to partner Robbie Keane up front, but he will certainly give an edge from set pieces, which will be important against a Spain squad that will be missing a few of their first choice defenders.

Paul McShane also returns to the starting line up having had a decent showing against Georgia, and Coleman will start, but further up the pitch than he was used against the Faroe Islands. Hendrick also gets a starting spot, having impressed when he came on last Sunday.

Spain are warming up for the Confederations Cup, and Ireland will round out their recent run of games against very stiff opposition. Richard Dunne, who Trap stated would start tomorrow night, has instead travelled to England to get in contact with a few clubs who have offers in for his services.

The team in full then is: Forde, McShane, St Ledger, O’Dea, Kelly, Hendrick, McCarthy, Coleman, Keogh, Keane, Sammon
