A 64 year-old man in Australia was apprehended by police for attempting to steal a car when he took too long to get his Zimmer frame into the car.
The bizarre incident took place in Geelong at the weekend when the senior and approached a 22-year-old woman in the parking lot of a Kmart and held her up with a knife he had just bought in the store.
The woman immediately called police, but it took the man so long to load his walker and groceries into the car that they arrived on the scene before he had time to flee.
One of the police officers described it as one of the most bizarre incidents he has ever dealt with.
He would have got away with it too, if it wasn’t for the pesky Zimmer frame.
