Ever wondered what counties are the most active on Twitter and which are not fans of the medium? These graphics will reveal all.

Thanks to the brilliant folks at eightytwenty, we have some very interesting county by county breakdowns into Irish Twitter use.

Looking at tweets sent in July, that were geotagged, eighttwenty were able to look at which counties tweeted the most. It is no surprise to see the largest population centre, Dublin, lead the way, and if you add in Cork, just shy of 50 per cent of all Irish tweets come from those two counties.

Louth, which is much smaller is surprisingly third and bottom of the list is Longford, with just 0.28 per cent of Irish tweets.

This graphic adjusts for population and Louth comes out on top, with Waterford second, while a large enough county like Limerick is in the bottom five of this metric.
