Cliff diving is definitely a sport for the adrenaline junkies out there, so check out these incredible pictures of some of the best in the world doing their stuff
The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series kicked off earlier this year in La Rochelle, France, a pretty spectacular spot to jump off the top of a tower into the water below. After that, they hit Copenhagen, where the lads jumped from the top of the Opera House, and today, they've headed to the Azores, where one extremely lucky JOE was there to see the whole thing happen.
In a truly stunning location, the athletes performed a series of impressive tricks, making it look like the most natural thing in the world to throw yourself off a cliff.
In the entire world, there are only around 50 athletes who dedicate themselves to this extreme sport, and when you figure that they're diving from about 28 metres and hitting the water at 90km/h, it's perhaps a bit easier to see why. Still, it makes for some pretty slick pictures.
For more information on all the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, check out the Red Bull site where the lads have all the info, and keep an eye on JOE for some more class pictures and videos.
