GIF: Brilliantly worked Edin Dzeko goal gives Man City the lead against Newcastle

So simple yet so, so effective.

Now is not such a good time to be facing Manchester City. Manuel Pellegrini’s side whacked West Ham 6-0 in the Capital One Cup during the week and they’ve won five on the bounce in the Premier League, scoring for fun in the process.

It didn’t take them long to open the scoring against Newcastle at St. James’ Park today, when after only eight minutes, David Silva played in Aleksandar Kolarov on the left wing and the full back squared for Edin Dzeko to slot home for the opening goal on what could be a long, long afternoon for Alan Pardew’s side.

The GIF above only shows the end of what was a really lovely move, which got the finish it deserved for a great goal all round.
