2-0 up and comfortable, Liverpool had a couple of their old boys to thank for making a game of it at the Britannia and what an equaliser this was from Charlie Adam.

The Scot never really made a go of it during his brief time at Anfield but what was never in doubt was the quality of his left peg and he showed that once again with a tremendous hit to bring Stoke level following goals from Ryan Shawcross (own goal) and Luis Suarez for the visitors and Peter Crouch for Mark Hughes’ side. adamgif Adam’s strike is made even more impressive by the fact that he had just got up off his arse before belting it into the far corner and Simon Mignolet had no chance of keeping it out.
