GIF: Referee Chris Foy clearly did not like Adebayor's celebration dance
Spurs have been much improved today, and Emmanuel Adebayor has had plenty of cause to dance after his performance
Emmanuel Adebayor has returned to the Spurs lineup with a bang after a long period out of favour with erstwhile manager Andre Villas Boas. He scored the first of his goals today off a great cross from Roberto Soldado, whose own drought continued, despite some good chances.
This athletic volley was a great finish to draw his side level after they'd gone behind to an Adam Lallana goal earlier in the first half.
There were plenty of goals for referee Chris Foy to note down in his match report later, after a Hooiveld own goal and a fine Ricky Lambert finish brought the score to 2-2, but judging by his face, we think he might also make mention of whatever it is that Adebayor is doing here in this dance after he scored again to give Spurs the lead.
Spurs ended up winning against Southampton at St. Mary's, which is no mean feat considering the way the Saints are playing this season, and Tottenham will consider this a big step forward after such an embarrassing loss last weekend.
