Rory Carroll, home from a spring in Paris, takes up the full-back berth in a Dublin team that sees three changes for Sunday's Leinster SFC quarter-final against Laois at Croke Park.

Dublin manager Pat Gilroy has tweaked and reshuffled his side from the league final defeat to Cork, with Carroll making his return to the fold for the first time this season.

The defender has spent the last few months teaching in France but, on his return, he’s been handed a starting spot at the expense of Paul Brogan.

Meanwhile, Paul’s cousin Alan Brogan is back in the starting XV as he was suspended for the league final.

The sharpshooter replaces Tomás ‘Mossy’ Quinn at corner forward.

The third change sees James McCarthy come in at centre-half back with Barry Cahill moving to midfield and Denis Bastick relegated to the bench.

Dublin team to face Laois:
Stephen Cluxton; Philly McMahon, Rory O'Carroll, Mick Fitzsimons; James McCarthy, Ger Brennan, Kevin Nolan; Michael Dara Macauley, Barry Cahill; Paul Flynn, Kevin McManamon, Bryan Cullen (captain); Alan Brogan, Diarmuid Connolly, Bernard Brogan.
