Giroud scored a lovely lob, while Argentina put together a beautiful move to slot home a cracker

There were plenty of great goals scored in the international matches last night, like Robben’s free kick that we saw earlier, but Olivier Giroud also netted a very nice goal for France as they thrashed Australia 6-0. He manages to catch this well on the turn, and loft it into the far corner, and is certainly in a decent run of form for both club and country.

In Ireland’s group, the lads from the Faroe Islands secured a point with a draw against our opponents on Tuesday night, Kazakhstan, with this absolutely fantastic goal which involved a backheel and an outside of the boot. We love this.

Andros Townsend repaid the faith shown in him by Roy Hodgson with a pretty lovely goal as England beat Monenegro 4-1 at Wembley last night. England face Poland on Tuesday as they hope to claim automatic qualification from the group.

Argentina beat Peru 3-1, with Claudio Pizarro grabbing a well finished opener for the Peruvians. The Argentine side woke up after that however, and their second goal in this highlights package was beautifully worked.

There were also some less admirable moments during last night’s games, and the standout candidate in that category was Johan Elmander’s simulation to get Austria’s Marko Arnautovic of Austria and Stoke sent off.
