Martin and Roy didn’t pick these lads, Noel King did, but here’s the 27 players named for the dynamic duo’s friendlies with Latvia and Poland.

We will have to wait a little longer to see what team the new Irish managerial duo of Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane will pick but here’s the 27 players the lads will have to work with.

Named today by the FAI, who confirmed this panel was picked by former interim gaffer Noel King, there aren’t too many surprises.

Richard Dunne is out, rested we are told, while Alex Pearce comes in to replace the QPR man.

Despite the MLS play-offs, Robbie Keane will be back for the two friendlies, while Andy Reid retains his place.

Paul McShane and Damien Delaney don’t make it, two players who have had run-ins with Keane in the past.

Ireland squad: David Forde, Keiren Westwood, Rob Elliot, Sean St Ledger, Marc Wilson, Seamus Coleman, John O’Shea, Alex Pearce, Stephen Kelly, Joey O’Brien, James McCarthy, Ciaran Clark, Stephen Ward, Glenn Whelan, Paul Green, Andy Reid, Aiden McGeady, Anthony Pilkington, James McClean, Robbie Brady, Stephen Quinn, Wes Hoolahan, Shane Long, Robbie Keane, Jon Walters, Kevin Doyle, Anthony Stokes
