Eager to prove that he wasn't always the bookish l00king sort who sits on the bench shouting instructions, O'Neill pointed out to the two World Cup winners to his left - Patrick Vieira and Fabio Cannavaro - that he was in possession of not one but two European Cup medals.
And he didn't always wear glasses.
