Norwich defender Ryan Bennett has been charged with misconduct by the FA after an angry exchange with supporters on Twitter.

He is of course not the first footballer to land himself in hot water on Twitter with ill-advised comments and closed his account last night after his provocative comments spread like wildfire.
The 23 year-old has featured 16 times for the Canaries this season and while he wasn’t playing in the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal recently, he did take exception to jibes from Gunners supporters in the aftermath.
“If ya got a prob I’ll finish you in a couple of seconds,” he tweeted, which went down like a lead balloon with the club once they got wind of the online exchange.
Delia Smith could almost being heard to say “Let’s be having ya” and the club disciplined the player and reported him to the FA and last night he deleted his account after suggesting he felt like he was being gagged by what he could say.
“Officially going to delete Twitter! Seems you can’t say what you want on here.”
Will footballers ever learn?
