An Irish web designer from Ballyduff in Kerry has managed to secure the contract to work on Lady Gaga’s brand spanking new website.

Aidan O’Carroll (24) already lists top celebrities as clients, including pop-stars Chris Brown, Miley Cyrus and Macklemore, as well as Ireland’s own Conor McGregor.

Aidan’s rise in the web designing world began back in January 2013 when his company, Avalanche Designs, was selected from over 50 web design companies around the world to build a website for Macklemore.

Speaking to the Irish Independent, Aidan said: “We tendered for the project and honestly didn’t think anything would come from it. We were one of 50 companies invited to tender and all of a sudden we were whittled down to 30, then 20 and then we got word that we had won.

“It was incredible and since we were chosen things have absolutely snowballed.

“Obviously it’s great to have these big clients, but the small to medium business are still the backbone of the business,” he said.

It’s great to see an Irish web firm making waves on an international level and we’re sure we’ll be hearing more from Aidan and Avalanche Designs in the future. Fair play to them…
