Let this serve as a warning to those of you not using sun factor

You never know how long the sunshine lasts when it arrives, but makes sure you are taking precautionary measures in you are soaking up the rays.

You never know how long the sunshine lasts when it arrives, but makes sure you are taking precautionary measures if you are soaking up the rays.

The first hint of sunshine means it is deemed nearly acceptable to wear as little as you want as we desperately seek to go from pasty white to lobster red and given the weather over the past few days, that transformation has been widespread.

Whether it is down to laziness, the fact that sunny days are not that regular or just a blatant disregard for our health, we tend to be slow to apply the sun factor and the immediate consequences are pretty obvious.

This picture was sent into us yesterday and while the lad in question is American, it is something that many Irish folk can easily relate to.

The drumstick lolly is a popular look at the moment with the sun splitting the stones and we would hazard a guess he has had an uncomfortable few days.
